Welcome to Shrewsbury
United Reformed Church
Describe your image
The United Reformed Church shares in the grief of the nations following the death of Her Majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II, please keep checking back on this page for more news and details of upcoming services and prayers.
All are Welcome
We have weekly Sunday morning services at 10.30am with Communion on the first Sunday of each month and evening Communion at 6.30pm on the third Sunday of each month.
For a list of our events and regular groups please see our What's On page, all services will be in-person and on Facebook only.
As we continue with person worship alongside our online services via Facebook Live, we recognise the many emotions and feelings that are being stirred with the thought of gathering in public again so please do not feel any pressure that you should, or ought, to be at any of the services planned. Go at your own pace and please respect the pace and choices of others if they differ to yours. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please do get in touch via the form at the bottom of this page.
Please take care, keep safe, and keep in touch.
Access for All
Shrewsbury URC is committed to making sure that services and facilities are accessible to everyone, including those with limited mobility, visual impairment and hearing difficulties. (Our Christmas Eve service 2020 offered BSL on zoom for example) We have made all floor levels in the church the same, and a new doorway into the hall complex. This has eased access for wheelchair users, and makes movement around the building safe for everyone.
There is an induction loop system for hearing aid users in the church and in the lecture hall. We have a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities. We also provide large print hymn book as well as projected word onto two large screens. Large print copies of songs that are not in our two hymn books are available for people who cannot use the screens.
